How Quick Reliable Appliance Repair collects, uses, shares, and protects your information.

Last updated: September 23, 2026

Quick Reliable Appliance Repair (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates this website and the appliance repair services described on it. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect from you, how we use and share it, and the choices you have about your information. By using our services or this website, you agree to the collection and use of information consistent with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you:

  • Submit a service request (name, phone number, email address, service address, appliance details, problem description, photos you upload)
  • Communicate with us (SMS, email, chat, and phone). Calls to our phone number may be answered by our AI assistant, and calls are recorded and transcribed for scheduling, service quality, training, and record-keeping. The call begins with a notice that it may be recorded. If you ask whether you are speaking with a person, the assistant will tell you it is an AI assistant (see our AI Disclosure).
  • Make a payment (payment card data is collected and processed by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers)
  • Sign service authorizations or warranties (signature, date, identification you provide)

We also automatically collect:

  • Device and usage data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, referrer URL, timestamps)
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 7)
  • Approximate location derived from your IP or service address

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Schedule, dispatch, and complete the repair you requested
  • Communicate with you about your service (confirmations, technician arrival updates, follow-up, warranty)
  • Process payments and issue receipts/invoices
  • Maintain records required by law (tax, warranty, contractor licensing)
  • Improve our services and the website
  • Send marketing communications, only with your consent and only to email/SMS where you have opted in (you can opt out at any time — see Section 5)
  • Detect and prevent fraud, security incidents, and abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements

3. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only as follows:

  • Service technicians: Field technicians who perform your repair receive your name, phone number, service address, appliance details, and problem description so they can complete the job. Independent (1099) technicians are contractually bound to handle your information confidentially.
  • Payment processors: Card payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Stripe's privacy policy applies to their processing of your card data.
  • Communication providers: Calls, call recordings, voicemail and text messages are carried by Twilio, Inc. Calls answered by our AI assistant are processed by Vapi, Inc. or, on some lines, directly by OpenAI, L.L.C.; recorded calls and voicemails are transcribed and summarized with Google's Gemini models.
  • Software platform: Our booking, scheduling, customer-management, and messaging software is provided by MeraFix (MeraFlow LLC), which stores and processes your information on our behalf as a service provider and may not use it for its own purposes.
  • Hosting and infrastructure: Our service runs on infrastructure providers (Vultr, Cloudflare). These providers do not access your data except as necessary to operate the infrastructure.
  • Legal compliance: We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
  • Business transfers: In a merger, acquisition, or sale, your information may transfer to the successor entity, subject to this policy.

We do not sell your personal information for money. If the shop has set up advertising tools on this website (the Google Ads tag, Google Tag Manager, or the Meta Pixel — see Section 7), our advertising and analytics partners Google and Meta receive information about your visits to this site. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) this may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. See "Do Not Sell or Share" in Section 6 for what is sent and how to opt out.

4. SMS & TCPA Notice

By providing your phone number when booking — online (by checking the SMS consent box on our booking form) or over the phone (by confirming verbally when asked) — you give your prior express consent (under the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act) to receive service-related SMS messages from Quick Reliable Appliance Repair at the number you provided. Messages may include booking confirmations, technician arrival updates, reminders, post-service follow-up, and a one-time request to review your service.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency: typically up to 10 messages per service request (confirmation, technician en-route, arrival, completion, and optional follow-up). Reply STOP at any time to opt out of all SMS from us; reply HELP for assistance. Your consent to receive SMS is not a condition of any purchase.

No sharing of mobile opt-in data. Mobile opt-in information and your SMS consent — including your phone number and the fact that you agreed to receive text messages — are not shared with, rented to, or sold to any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is used only to deliver the service-related messages described above, and is shared solely with the SMS carrier and messaging platform that send those texts on our behalf (currently Twilio, Inc.), and only as needed to deliver the messages you requested.

Quiet hours. We do not send marketing SMS between 9:00 PM and 8:00 AM in your local time zone, consistent with the FCC's Telephone Consumer Protection Act rules. Transactional service-status messages (e.g. your technician is on the way, your appointment has been confirmed) may be delivered at any time so that you are not left waiting; if you prefer not to receive any messages at certain hours, reply STOP at those hours or contact us.

5. Email Marketing & CAN-SPAM

We may send you transactional emails (booking confirmations, receipts) regardless of marketing preferences. Marketing emails are sent only if you have explicitly opted in. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link; clicking it removes you from our marketing list within 10 business days, as required by the federal CAN-SPAM Act.

6. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what categories of personal information we collect, the sources, and how we use and share it
  • Receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal exceptions, e.g. retained tax records)
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Limit use of sensitive personal information
  • Opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (we do not sell, but we may share through advertising pixels — see "Do Not Sell or Share" below)
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights

To exercise these rights, email us at customerservice.qrar@gmail.com or call +19805000942. We will verify your identity (typically by matching the contact info you provide against our records) before fulfilling the request and will respond within a reasonable time and, where a state privacy law that applies sets a deadline, within that deadline.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. Quick Reliable Appliance Repair does not sell your personal information for money. However, if the shop has set up advertising tools on this website — the Google Ads tag, Google Tag Manager, or the Meta (Facebook) Pixel — information about your visit (such as cookie and device identifiers, the pages you view, and your clicks) is sent to Google or Meta. When you submit a booking, the site may also report it to those platforms as a conversion, including your email address, phone number, and city/ZIP in hashed (encoded) form together with your IP address and browser type; and if you arrived from a Google ad, a paid booking may later be reported to Google Ads with the ad-click identifier from your visit. Under the CPRA this can constitute "sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising." You can opt out of this sharing by:

  • Emailing customerservice.qrar@gmail.com with subject "Do Not Share"
  • Turning on Global Privacy Control (GPC) in a browser that supports it. When your browser sends GPC, this website does not load the Meta Pixel; runs the Google tag with Google's advertising-storage, ad-user-data, and ad-personalization settings set to "denied", so it sets no advertising cookies; does not send Google Ads conversion events or your hashed contact details from your browser; and does not replace the shop's phone number with a Google call-tracking number. GPC does not currently stop tags the shop manages through Google Tag Manager, the booking conversion our server may send to Meta, or a paid booking reported to Google Ads by ad-click identifier — to opt out of those as well, email us as described above.
  • Blocking advertising cookies in your browser's privacy settings (see Section 7)

We do not require an account or charge a fee to process an opt-out request, and we will not ask you to opt back in for at least 12 months.

6.1 Sensitive Personal Information (California CPRA)

Under California's Privacy Rights Act (CPRA, Cal. Civ. Code §1798.140(ae)), certain categories of personal information we collect may be considered "sensitive personal information":

  • Precise geolocation — your service address (used to dispatch a technician)
  • Photographs of your home or property interior taken by a technician during diagnosis, repair, warranty documentation, or training
  • Contents of your communications with us (SMS, voice recordings, email when you initiate contact)

We use this information solely to perform the services you request, support warranty claims, train our technicians on appliance models we encounter, comply with insurance/legal obligations, and operate our business. We do not use sensitive personal information for inferring characteristics about you or for cross-context behavioral advertising.

California residents may exercise the Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information by emailing customerservice.qrar@gmail.comwith subject "Limit Sensitive PII." Note that limiting use of certain categories (such as your service address) may impair our ability to deliver service.

7. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website (essential cookies) and to measure traffic and the effectiveness of advertising. This website does not show a cookie-consent banner: the measurement and advertising tools below load when the shop has set them up, subject to the Global Privacy Control handling described in Section 6. The specific tracking technologies in use depend on the configuration chosen by the shop providing service to you, and may include:

  • Google Analytics (traffic measurement, only when the shop configures GA4)
  • Google Ads conversion tags (attribution of bookings to ad clicks, only when the shop runs Google Ads)
  • Google Tag Manager (lets the shop load and manage its own tags, only when the shop configures it)
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel (ad measurement, only when the shop runs Meta ads)
  • Microsoft Clarity (session recordings — captures mouse movements, clicks, scrolls, and form interaction to help us improve the user experience; password fields, payment card fields, and form inputs marked sensitive are automatically masked at the client and never reach Clarity's servers; only used when the shop has enabled Clarity in settings)

Separately, the platform operator uses Umami, a privacy-first analytics tool self-hosted on the operator's own infrastructure, to measure aggregate page views and sessions across all tenant sites. Umami sets no cookies, collects no personally identifying information, and does not send data to third parties. Visitors cannot be tracked across sessions or across sites.

We also set a first-party cookie named merafix.visitor_id (a random anonymous identifier, valid one year, never shared with third parties) so that this shop's operator can understand which pages help customers find them and attribute bookings to the visit that produced them. The cookie stores no name, email, IP address, or device fingerprint; it is used only to group your page visits within this shop's site. You can delete it at any time through your browser's cookie controls. Page-view records are kept only as long as needed for attribution reporting and are then deleted.

You can control non-essential cookies through your browser's privacy settings. The Meta Pixel and the Google Ads tag respond to the Global Privacy Control signal as described in Section 6. Essential cookies cannot be disabled without breaking core site functionality.

8. Data Retention

Call recordings are kept for 120 days and then deleted automatically. Business records — such as invoices, payment and tax records, and warranty records — are kept for as long as the law requires. Other personal information, including call transcripts and summaries kept with your service records, is kept for as long as necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

9. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data security breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and applicable regulators as required by the data breach notification law of your state of residence. Notification will be provided without unreasonable delay (within the timeframes specified by your state's law) by email, mail, or other reasonable means available to us.

10. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Our services are intended for adults (age 18 and over) who own or rent appliances requiring repair. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. Contact us if you believe a child has provided us information.

11. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for sensitive fields, access controls, and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; if we discover a breach affecting your information, we will notify you and applicable authorities as required by law.

To protect our forms (such as booking and login) against spam and automated abuse, our website uses Cloudflare Turnstile. Turnstile runs in the background and may process device and interaction signals to distinguish humans from bots. Your use of Turnstile is subject to the Cloudflare Privacy Policy and the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

12. Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision. Significant changes will be communicated on our website and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of our services after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
